A short history of Blundstone

Blundstone dates back to 1870 in Hobart, Tasmania, where John Blundstone and his family had set up as shoemakers. The business grew from a small shoe workshop into a factory, and in 1932 the Cuthbertson family took over the company. In 1989 Blundstone began making waterproof injection-moulded gumboots, and in 2000 it acquired the New Zealand company John Bull Footwear. Today its boots are sold in over 50 countries.

Blundstone sizing and fit

Check the size guide for the exact style before you order, as fit can vary slightly between ranges. If you are between sizes, think about the socks you will wear: thicker boot socks may suit the larger size. Our free UK returns make it easy to swap if the fit is not right.

Looking after your Blundstone boots

Brush off mud, wipe with a damp cloth and let wet boots dry naturally, away from direct heat. Treat leather with a renovating cream and use a waterproofing spray to help repel rain, then repeat as needed through the winter.

What is the difference between the Blundstone 500 and 585?
